Fire alarms we service in Westminster
Servicing in Westminster is mostly about working around people. Offices in Mayfair, St James's and Victoria want the sounders tested before staff arrive or after they leave. Restaurants and bars in Soho and Covent Garden want it done before opening, with the music cut-out and kitchen heat detectors checked. Hotels in Paddington and Bayswater need bedroom detectors tested without disturbing guests, and mansion blocks in Marylebone and Pimlico need a certificate for the managing agent. We plan each visit around the building, service any make of panel and send the certificate to whoever needs it.

Frequently asked questions
How much does fire alarm servicing cost in Westminster?
From £180 + VAT a visit for a conventional system and £240 + VAT for an addressable system, with the certificate issued on the day. If you have emergency lighting, its annual test is £150 + VAT on the same visit. Larger buildings are priced after a free survey.
How often does a fire alarm need servicing?
BS 5839-1 recommends a service at least every six months for commercial systems and the common parts of blocks of flats. For BS 5839-6 systems in HMOs and rented homes an annual check is the usual expectation, and Grade A panel systems follow the six-monthly pattern.
Do you service fire alarms installed by other companies?
Yes. Most of the systems we service were installed by someone else. We test what is there, report its condition honestly and take it onto our schedule. Nothing that works needs replacing.
What do we get after the visit?
A signed certificate, a written record of what was tested, the logbook brought up to date, and a list of anything that failed with a fixed price to put it right. Nothing is repaired without your say-so.
Can you service our Mayfair office fire alarm outside working hours?
Yes. Early morning, evening and weekend visits are normal for us in Westminster, so the sounders can be tested without disturbing staff or clients. The certificate is issued at the end of the visit.
