Fire alarms we service in Sutton
In Sutton we service fire alarms in schools and nurseries, shops and offices along the High Street, pubs and restaurants in Cheam Village and Carshalton, the industrial units off Beddington Lane, and a good number of care homes and supported living houses. Schools and nurseries want the noisy part done in the holidays or after the children have gone home, so we plan around that. We also find older conventional panels across the borough that are still sound but short of spares; we tell you honestly whether the system is worth keeping or due for replacement.

Frequently asked questions
How much does fire alarm servicing cost in Sutton?
From £180 + VAT a visit for a conventional system and £240 + VAT for an addressable system, with the certificate issued on the day. If you have emergency lighting, its annual test is £150 + VAT on the same visit. Larger buildings are priced after a free survey.
How often does a fire alarm need servicing?
BS 5839-1 recommends a service at least every six months for commercial systems and the common parts of blocks of flats. For BS 5839-6 systems in HMOs and rented homes an annual check is the usual expectation, and Grade A panel systems follow the six-monthly pattern.
Do you service fire alarms installed by other companies?
Yes. Most of the systems we service were installed by someone else. We test what is there, report its condition honestly and take it onto our schedule. Nothing that works needs replacing.
What do we get after the visit?
A signed certificate, a written record of what was tested, the logbook brought up to date, and a list of anything that failed with a fixed price to put it right. Nothing is repaired without your say-so.
Can you service our school's fire alarm in the holidays?
Yes. We are happy to plan the two visits a year around term dates, or to work after the children have gone home, so the sounders can be tested without disrupting lessons. Emergency lighting can be tested on the same visit.
