Emergency lighting in Hammersmith and Fulham
Most of the emergency lighting we test in Hammersmith and Fulham is in office buildings with shared stairs, pubs and restaurants along the main roads, and mansion blocks and converted flats. Shared office stairs are often where testing falls between landlord and tenant, so nobody does it. We test the whole system on one visit, record which fittings serve which part of the building and send the certificate to everyone who needs it.

Frequently asked questions
How much does emergency lighting testing cost in Hammersmith and Fulham?
The annual full-duration test is from £150 + VAT with a certificate. If we service your fire alarm, we do both on the same visit. Larger buildings are priced after a free survey, and repairs are quoted at a fixed price first.
How often does emergency lighting need testing?
A short function test every month, normally done by someone on site and written in the logbook, and a full rated-duration test once a year by a competent person, as BS 5266-1 and BS EN 50172 set out.
Can you test the emergency lighting and service the fire alarm together?
Yes, and most customers prefer it: one visit, one contractor and both certificates on the day. Emergency lighting is part of every servicing contract we offer.
What happens if fittings fail the test?
We replace failed batteries and lamps on the day where we can. Anything else, such as a whole fitting or a missing sign, comes back to you as a fixed price before we do it.
Who is responsible for emergency lighting on a shared office stair?
Normally the landlord or managing agent for the common parts, and each tenant for their own floor. We can test both in one visit and split the certificate so each party has the record they need.
