Emergency lighting in Crawley
Crawley's warehouses and factories need emergency lighting across their open floors as well as on the escape routes, and the fittings there take knocks from forklifts and dust. Airport hotels have long corridors and stairs that guests rely on at night, and the town centre and Manor Royal offices have shared stairs between tenants. We test every fitting for its full duration at a time that suits the building, record each one and replace failures on the day where we can.

Frequently asked questions
How much does emergency lighting testing cost in Crawley?
The annual full-duration test is from £150 + VAT with a certificate. If we service your fire alarm, we do both on the same visit. Larger buildings are priced after a free survey, and repairs are quoted at a fixed price first.
How often does emergency lighting need testing?
A short function test every month, normally done by someone on site and written in the logbook, and a full rated-duration test once a year by a competent person, as BS 5266-1 and BS EN 50172 set out.
Can you test the emergency lighting and service the fire alarm together?
Yes, and most customers prefer it: one visit, one contractor and both certificates on the day. Emergency lighting is part of every servicing contract we offer.
What happens if fittings fail the test?
We replace failed batteries and lamps on the day where we can. Anything else, such as a whole fitting or a missing sign, comes back to you as a fixed price before we do it.
Does our Manor Royal warehouse need emergency lighting on the open floor?
Usually, yes. Open areas larger than 60 square metres normally need anti-panic emergency lighting as well as the escape routes. We check the coverage against the building on the annual test.
